Good morning. Heard about couch to 5k ydy and I am very interested to join. How can I find out where meetings in my vicinity are held? Checked in various web sites but cannot figure it out. Some help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Couch to 5k is a running programme done either by podcast or phone app. It lasts nine weeks by Which time you should be able to run 30 minutes
There is a full explanation, and free downloads on NHS live well website, if not on here. Have a look at the links on the right
We are all on the programme here, or have graduated. There will always be someone here on the same weeks as you so you will always have someone to compare notes with
Have a look at the posts to get a sense of what it's all about 🙂
I learned to run at 56 using the programme and am now training for a marathon
As the estimable MissW says, we are an internet based community, following the NHS C25K programme. Welcome.
If you want to run with other people check your local leisure centre or running clubs, who often have C25K programmes for total beginners.
In my opinion you are better off doing the plan by yourself. If you run with another person, it is unlikely that your natural running paces will coincide, so someone will be holding back or maybe pushing too hard.
By yourself you progress through the programme at your own pace. one thing I can tell you with no reservations is that this training plan really works and has transformed tens of thousands of people into real runners, who have benefitted from better physical and mental health as a consequence.
At times it may be tough, but this forum will cheer you on and offer all the advice you could need........what are you waiting for?
