WK2 Finished still alive but thoughts of 3 minutes in my head.

Earlier this evening I got myself up from the couch and prepared for the final run of week 2. As usual I am always full of trepidation but once on the 5 minute walk I am beyond the point of no return.

Again I worked on my pace and was trying to judge how I will run further and for longer on Wednesday when my next run is due. Once through the first run and second I knew I would finish today but in what shape.

I am still troubled with this blistering left heel and today wore no protection as I thought it had healed. The pain was minimal ( I scratch my heels a lot, weird I know) so I carried on. I have only just looked at it and to be honest I just need to cover the area before each run and it will be fine. No pains other than this, the hamstring was fine.

As I got into the fifth and sixth runs I really felt that although hanging on I was capable of running for longer. I do really believe in the power of thought. The pain is in my knees and hips (latic acid) but belief pushes me on.

Rest now until Wednesday, maybe a walk before bed both days in between.

Indeed, why not? Very happy to have some one at the same stage as me. I am on a two day rest period now, I run Wednesday, Friday and Sunday usually. So far I have found this works for me. I will though walk or cycle when I get back from work later this afternoon. That is after I have cut the grass.

Apart from the running I am trying to loose weight also. So far have lost 4.7 kg need to lose another 10kg by 04/10/17. Like to go further after that too.

Well done both of you on this and having virtual running buddies is a tremendous help to keep on track. I know I couldn't have done mine without some really lovely support from my buddies bareliz RebeccaSK Rebecca7913 and of course our lovely mentors and in truth many, many more Looking forward to seeing you both graduate

Well keep me posted whichever day it is. I am home now and cannot do anything I had planned as it is tipping it down with rain. Just read what is in store for our first WK 3 run and I thought it was straight to 3 mins but no! Still focus on that when Wednesday comes.

Well done on the run - just take it slow and steady and the next run will be achievable.

With regard to your blisters - have you invested in proper running socks? They don't shift around on your feet so should end the blister woes. I don't know how new your running shoes are either as an old unsupportive pair of trainers can also cause issues.
