W3 R1 after wee layoff

Hi all,

Just in from doing week 3 run 1 and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Actually found it easier than the week 2 runs and have had a wee bit of a layoff from this as have been feeling pretty knackered the last week or so.

Tired no motivation cranky. Pretty sure I just need my holidays ( roll on end September).

So all going well and I don't loose my getup and go I should hopefully have this in the bag just before I go.

Hotel has a gym with treadmills so we are thinking doing a wee session in the mornings before heading out for the days.

Any tips for keeping up fitness when on holiday for 2 weeks. Or is it ok to have a break?

Hi it's so hard to keep going in the early stages especially when cranks hit. But you have done it and Week 3 almost a third through the plan. As for holidays, well are you committed to going out? I carried my trainers and kit to the other side of the world for 6 weeks, what they thought of the scenery I will never know, because they never saw it. I am a bit flaky on holiday, but if you have more grit than me, take your stuff and maybe just try to consolidate a run you like. Than that way fitness is maintained, and it will keep you in good shape for when you want to get going again. No run is wasted energy it all gets banked up in your stamina bank.
