Nearly there Couch to 5K

Hi everyone. My name is Ange I'm on Week 8. Never thought I'd ever get this far. Thinking ahead what do you think you'll follow when you finish? I don't want to lose momentum. I figure that I'll try to get faster so could keep going with week 9 run until I'm faster but not sure if that's the right thing to do

It depends what you want to do but for me it's keep up the 30 minutes runs. So I've started doing Park run. I feel like I need a bit of variety so after my holiday which will give me several lovely places to run I am going to try the C25k+ podcasts.

After that I am not sure. Don't have time to run much further than 5k and there is a limit to how much faster I can go. Have to hope I make good Park run friends so have to keep running so I don't embarrass myself by getting slower.

Thanks for your response. I may try the C25K+ podcasts when I'm a bit faster.

I have to try a Park Run soon. Slightly nervous about it - think it'll take me 50-55 mins. Don't want to be the slowest person there. Will maybe wait a few more weeks.

Parkrun is hugely supportive. You can check out all finishing times by looking at the results web page for your local run. Many people walk the whole thing at many parkruns.

There is no need to get faster before trying the C25K+ podcasts. I always recommend running away from home, in beautiful life affirming environments, with no performance, time or speed pressures, stopping to walk and admire the view, if you want.

Keep running, keep smiling.

Thank you. I will give them ago once I've done week 9.

I am loving running. I agree going somewhere else to run opens is lots of new experiences. I run on the towpath by the River Thames quite often and I love it.
