I am to some degree looking forward to taking part in a few park runs etc BUT being something of a loner I'm already planning a few runs to go out and do by myself.

Enjoy the solitude

If you have somewhere nice to run then it's nice to be just you and your surroundings. Park run is great in a different way. I like both.

I like both as well. My local running club has club nights on Mondays and Thursdays but as one of their very new members I've said "NO" to Mondays, at least for now. I try to do Parkrun on Saturday mornings, take Sunday as a rest/gym day, then Monday's for ME!! ... a pretty route sometimes, maybe try jogging a bit quicker another day (that was today's target), maybe just go out without all my electronics and enjoy that precious "me time". Enjoy the journey if you can - it took me quite a while to start enjoying it, which was a shame.

Aah, a soul mate...........there is plenty of space out there forus antisocial, curmudgeonly old b******s (can't swear now, I'm on the staff) , but parkrun is a joy to behold. An absolute must.

Try cliff paths, moorland, forests and ridgeways.........it is what running is all about.

Have got a woodland trail in mind

Solitude is great only you and in my case a crazy mind to keep you company! There's a time and a place for people and then privacy, and if you like both then why not?

I love the solitude of running, especially now I'm increasing my time and distance, just me and my thoughts for 45/60 minutes is great it clears the head and relieves stress
