Would you run with sore calf muscles ?

Started Wk2 on Saturday and enjoyed it. For the first half my calf muscles felt tight but by the second half loosened up.

Saturday afternoon and Sunday we were in London and did around 14,000 steps and this morning my calves are sore when I stretch them. Not agony but I am just mindful of them as I am due to do WK2 R2 tonight.

Should I run with calf muscles that feel a bit tight and sore ?

I'll happily run when sore but just moderate my pace, if that soreness is anything approaching pain then sit it out... if in doubt an extra day of rest won't hurt but I'm sure more experienced folks will be along to advise soon.

Cheers Cliff. I reckon I should be ok if I have a good stretch and warm up. As you suggest, moderating the pace is also something I will do. Thanks

Sore is to be expected at this stage of the game.

To be honest I pretty much assumed so. Last week it was the thighs that hurt following the first run.

I am so out of shape I have started leaving two days between runs just to give my calves a break LOL, but on those two days I try to walk at least 2 miles so that I am not losing all of my momentum

I went for my run. Did some calf stretches for a few minutes first. Once again the first half was tougher than the second half and once I had finished no soreness at all in any muscles. This morning woke up and legs feel great so it turns out a run was just what I needed.
