Ok r3w4 today, didn't go well!

Went out feeling positive but in both 5 minute sections I broke down and walked 10 seconds, yes I continued and finished the 5 but don't feel good about it.

So do I push on to week 5 or do I repeat 4, bit of a dilemma but I've got a couple of rest days now to think about it, any comments/advice appreciated

Well done! Now.. rest days.. some other exercise in there too...walking, swim, cycle, garden :)

Then...move on.. refreshed, relaxed and as slow as you like... the slower the better... you can do this:)

thank you for response, I think that's my gut feeling

Got to keep going as I'm down for a 5k sept 9th and I'm being sponsored so I've got to get there!

The best way to keep going is as you are doing, just go slow and steady.. i am always saying it, but it works..You will do your 5K and you don't have to be speedy.. you just have to run and mostly enjoy!!!! x

Keep going and don't look back otherwise you will fall over. what's 10 seconds anyway. 4 weeks ago it represented a significant chunk of the first run. Now it's a mere blip. Go for Week 5....

Fair point well made

But don't pressure yourself over the 5k you registered for. You can walk part of it if you need to. There's no rush to complete the programme before it.

Don't be hard on yourself. As others have said move on slow and steady you can do this !

I too would press on! When you get that horrible "I can't go on" though, try and push yourself to run a further 30secs, when you've done that once tell yourself that you can do it again etc.

Remember that you are building stamina when it feels tough.

Enjoy week 5 😊
