Hi Anniemurph This is where I was this afternoon. Sun out, not too warm ... a little piece of heaven. Very slow but I actually enjoyed it!!

That looks great! I want to go to Tea Green now! Does it have cake?

Slow runs can be very enjoyable. I am trying to run slower, since people have been talking about heart rate zones. I am a bit of a technoplonk so although I have a Garmin which does clever things around HR zones, I have no clue how to use it. I look at the info afterwards though :)

I'm the other end of the spectrum, I've worked in IT for years (so long ago that when I started you needed air conditioned rooms for computers) : what you can do with smartphones and tablets still amazes me. I'm for ever checking heart rate zones - I had a heart attack quite a long time ago now but have a pacemaker/defibrillator implanted to look after me. I'm afraid that Tea Green has a fantastic gastropub but cake's a bit scarce. One of the snags with my yesterday route is that about two thirds round I run past a pub (The King William) ... it's tempting to pause my Mapmyrun and call in for a beer!

No cake??? Not going there then!

Erm... I also worked in IT for 20+ years, but never on the hardware side, always as a business analyst etc. If I need anything sorted with my phone etc. I snag a passing teenager :D

Great that the pacemaker/defibrillator enable you to run. How fab is that?

Yep, fab! I even have a gismo that lets me send data from my defibrillator from home directly to the hospital cardiac team ... the technology is fantastic. My cardiologist is very enthusiastic about me running, simply says that the heart needs exercise as well .....
