Hi brand new to this, R1 W1 done.

However how do people plan their routes? I just went up and down a road today but that will get very boring very quickly!

Congratulations on starting C25K, try and find a park or well lit paths, not a main road with all that traffic, good luck for your runs 🏃 😊.

Hi and welcome 😊. You need to get out and about and check out your area. Or go on line and search for footpaths, parks etc. Check where your local Park run is held or where your local running clubs go. You might be lucky and have a running track near you that you can use. Hope this helps. Good luck 😊🏃🏼‍♀️

Great for getting started, at first I was using a circular running track which was good then as the runs got longer I got bored so yes I just planned a route that suits me and brings me back to where I started 😊

Hi... I too did my W1R1 today at a nearby park. I felt the same, and changed the direction of my run 4 - 5 times. My plan is to explore new routes every week.

Thanks all. Unfortunate until the clocks go forward I’ll be doing most of my runs at night, will get in Google maps though

I’ve just done R2 of week 1, my 1st run I also just did a circular route but decided to change it up today, I didn’t plan it out, just went where my feet took me, it actually made the time pass quicker because I was seeing new things. Good luck! We can do this 💪🏼

I downloaded an app called footpath, takes a little getting used to but much easier than google maps, great for accurately planning routes from home, really accurate on distance and shows little 1k markers

Great job starting the plan and completing the tough first run.

I use an app called footpath.., it snaps to roads and paths and while a little fiddly at first it’s great for planning routes of the required mileage.
