The first run in the whole programme not completed on the planned date, but 3 days later than planned I've only gone and done it!

What really helped was I was passed by 2 separate far quicker runners who both offered words of encouragement - thanks chaps it meant a lot.

I'm managing about 5.6k in 30 minutes so next step for me is to build to 10k over the coming months

The initial purpose of the programme for me was to run with my 10 year old daughter on holiday, we fly next Monday and whilst running in Florida heat is foreboding I am really looking forward to my time running with her.

thats a nice time. must be a machine :) that was my goal to begin with to run a 5k in under 30 minutes which i did at my first park run back in april. since then ive just beat my 25:00 goal with a 24:05. really never thought i would even get close to a 25 minute 5k to be honest :D have a good one in florida :)

Fantastic. Congratulations and congrats on a great time too. I just graduated last Thursday. My goal initially is to be able to comfortably run a sub 30 minute 5k. My PB from Saturdays Parkrun was 32:23, loads of training and improvement ahead of me yet.

Enjoy running with your daughter in Florida.
