I was doing my 28 mins and was going extra slow due to the heat and found a really nice plodding rhythm. I ended up running for 30 mins and even had a little three minute jog and extended my cooldown... I did 43 mins in total and 4.2k felt really pleased, had more in the tank and was so satisfied to have that chugging along little groove from about 15 mins in.

It's lovely when a run comes together and you find your running groove. The thrum of trainered foot on the road or trail is quite hypnotic. You can switch off completely at times

Suggest you take an extra rest day, and carry on with the program now though. This will be more satisfying and you don't want to risk injury by overstretching yourself. The plan has increments for a reason, and I totally understand your great run today, but have heard of others who have come a cropper doing too much too soon.
