Week 6 completed

So I finished week 6 today! I was going to run yesterday but it was so hot I figured I'd get up early today and run instead.

Unfortunately I didn't get up early enough to beat the heat and I honestly felt so shit after the run. I took water with me which was more distracting than anything but either way I managed 25 mins straight running at the slowwwest pace ever.

I can't wait for it to cool down a little because it's ruining my runs!!

Darned hot here too - and guess what, I could only manage a 25 minute very slow run also :) Don't beat yourself up, you're doing just fine :)

Don't worry about being slow in the heat

Your body is sending a much higher percentage of your cardiac output to the skin to cool you. So if hot/slow feels as hard as cool/fast - you're doing just as good.

Even in the hottest of temperatures, carrying water for a half hour run is probably pointless.
