The pain in my calf is excruciating. I had to walk through the 4th run. Is this normal? I did the brisk 5 minutes walk.

No excruciating pain doesn't sound normal. Did the pain stop post run?

It stopped as soon as I stopped jogging . It was the worst cramp type pain ever. Feels perfectly ok now

Ouch 😞. I am no expert but don't run too fast - slow and steady will reduce your chances of injury. My calves/ankles were sore (but not excruciating) when I started and now I always do some heel raises (going up on tiptoes and down with heels hanging of stairs) to get the blood flowing before a run; some recommend giving calves a rub for the same reason. Make sure you stretch after your run and in between runs and take a few rest days before you try again. Take care.
