I've just completed my first run. I was amazed I could do it and not need a doctor. Did feel self conscious and anxious and picked an area which I knew would be quiet. But I've done it and will continue, feeling positive

Go you..out there and doing it... the old "... lapping everyone on the couch" adage applies.

Just keep it slow and steady and follow the programme...and you will get through this.. don't be tempted to push too hard at any point..the whole idea of the NHS C25K is to get you to running for thirty minutes comfortably and to build up those running muscles and your stamina up too :)
