Ok, so, just downloaded app.....arghhhh. I'm an almost 46 yr old who hasn't as much as ran the length of myself since High School. I have always enjoyed swimming and have been lucky enough to own horses most of my life. However.......... since children came along I have had less time for these activities and over time although not way overweight, I have become a little soft! Looking forward to trying this and my super fit sons (15 and 12) say they will run with me. Actually quite excited about it all particularly determined as hubby says he'll believe it when he sees it lol lol.

Typical hubbies' saying. Am the same age and started 2weeks ago. You are lucky that your 2boys want to join you. I persuaded hubby to join me after first week. So far so good. Just take it easy and enjoy it.

Am the same age. Some days are tougher than others. It depends on other activities too. If you are not fit, make sure you have your rest days and do some stretches. Keep posting

I'm 45 , and started running for the first time last year, I was beyond unfit . Week 1 run 1 , I lasted 27 seconds 😒, it took me nearly 3 months to get to week 3 , trying 3 times a week . Then Something clicked , I realised it was more mental strength I needed . Six months later I could run 6k non stop , took up trail running ( I put that down to my mid life crisis ) and loved it .

I had a fall and ended up not running for six months due to torn ankle ligaments , I've been back running a few weeks having started the plan again , I've just finished week 3 ( I run every other day and this time I've managed it , so thankfully not completely lost my fitness )

Believe me , if I can go from less than 30 seconds to 6k and run up mountains , you can too.

Good luck
