Hi all, I just dragged myself through Wk4 day 2 tonight. I was tired, had an achey knee and had unexpectedly taken my 10 year old swimming after school so really wasn't sure I was going to get through it - but, I DID!!!!

It amazes me that in spite of feeling like I'm constantly 'out of my depth' with what the programme asks, as Laura says, I can do it!

I'm 48 and have been leading a very sedentary (and unhealthy) lifestyle for years so wanted a 'gentle' programme that would build my fitness - and am over the moon with my achievements so far :-)

Well done potty! You should be v proud and I'm the same, every time I think oh no, there's no way I can do this, and I can! I'm the same age as you, seems weird to find myself being a runner now but I do love it. Keep going :)

Well done Potty, you CAN do it! Just keep an eye on that knee...

Especially well done for doing the session under those circumstances, glad you feel you are making progress. You really are capable of more than you think, you just need a nudge from Laura ! Good luck.

Come on Potty. I started running for the first time with C5K at 67 years old. It's never too late!

Well done for taking the challenge! I think most people feel at some time they are out of their depth but Laura builds you up gradually. Your fitness is being built up all the time keep going and you will get to where you want to be by week 9, just take it slowly and if your knee is hurting rest it and start again when you feel ready. Good luck and happy running.

Hi, I'm 49 next week and started this programme in October last year, I went for it, joined weight watchers, stopped smoking and started running for the first time since school! I am now running 5k 3 times a week, have lost 1.5 stone and not smoking anymore!!! I have not been this slim or fit since I was a teenager!! Keep going - it's a great programme and you quickly get hooked!
