Womanly woes

Hi all,

Sorry woman-specific question coming!

I went out today for a run, but had to give up about 10 minutes in because my period cramps were really bad. How do you manage running on your period, or is it better to stay at home?

Training is otherwise going really well!

Thanks

Lauren

I feel quite sluggish during these times but fortunately they only happen every three or four months! If it is a heavy day then I take an easy run with paracetamol taken before the run. If i feel washed out I might postpone the run for a day or two. On light days I am fine to run. Each woman will tolerate exercise differently during this time. Do what you need to do, rest if needed.
