I've just completed my first run of week 4 but I've been doubling up the runs the last few times as wasn't ready to stop! Does anybody else do this? I managed 3.5 miles which is the longest I've managed for years. Why didn't I start it sooner?
Doubling up: I've just completed my first run of... - Couch to 5K
Doubling up

Because you were following the programme. And now you are not.

While your enthusiasm is commendable, I would strongly recommend against going off the programme like you are unless you are young, superbly fit, and know exactly how to avoid injury.
Unfortunately this forum is full of stories of injuries that could have been avoided by new runners being more cautious in how they built up the distance they were running.

What Rig said.. C25K is a structured programme which this forum supports, hopefully to get people running without injury.

Thanks all. Will stick to programme. I did used to run a lot before I had my two kids so getting ahead of myself and over excited! On the plus finding the sessions really enjoyable so can work on speed rather than distance!
