Done week 7 run 1 on Tuesday. All went well, gets home do a few stretches, log my run from the garmin. Potter about then go upstairs and a slip and twist my ankle. I could have cried I just knew it would bugger up my runs for this week. Been out and about today and the pain has nearly gone, just don't want to have the pressure of running on it just yet. Trust me to get an injury whilst not running π€
Stupid stairs: Done week 7 run 1 on Tuesday. All... - Couch to 5K

Huge sympathy... I broke my ribs last October... not running.. falling over a small coffee table, in my dark lounge, whilst getting up early to go out to run :)!!!
Make sure the pain has gone before you do any serious runs.
That is soooo funny, I can't stop giggling! πππ
It is..now... My husband was always telling me to put lights on when I got up!
I do now!!! I exercised on my cross trainer, once the initial pain subsided... ! Just to keep from stiffening up... I has broken my ribs before.. climbing!!! Coffee table fall...not as dramatic
I bet! It's one of those moments that is only funny when you talk about it afterwards. Definitely not funny at the time and ouch! That must have been excruciating. I feel guilty for laughing - I'm sorry!
It's fine.. The worst bit is trying to sleep at night.. you have to sit up!!!
My daughter had her baby on the Saturday before I fell the Thursday after... and I was told.. "Mum.. you can't be out of action.. I need you".. that was funny..
I healed much faster than I did when I broke them the first time.. this running does wonders for your physical state
Oh dear, that's frustrating but be patient, better to wait a few days than do more damage. You'll soon be back.
Oh no, I entirely understand you're frustration. I twisted my knee earlier in the year. Not running, but trying to get into the car in a car park where someone had parked too close to be able to open the door properly. Make sure you don;t rush things.
Nice to know I'm not the only clumsy clot around.
