Hi all. What gadgets do you all use to do this programme. I'm a technophobe and trying to find something I can do the c25k with instead of carrying my phone around with me. Do fitbit have the c25k programme on?? Sounds dumb but I really don't know what to look for ?? Thanks

Hi I use a little MP3 player that clips onto my waistband, or can also fit in the zippy pocket on my running leggings. You'd need to download the Couch to 5k podcast onto your computer then copy it onto the MP3 player. I think you can get the podcasts from the NHS website (they're the ones with Laura and her synthesised music!) prefer this way as I've never got on with the armband things for holding phones. Good luck?

Thanks will take a look at mp3 players. It's a pain with the phone and don't get music 😊

I run with my iPhone in a running belt. MrsMarkyD insists that I carry a phone if I run on the narrow lanes, or across the fields. Since we live in a small village, that's every run. I play podcasts or playlists on the phone, and listen via very cheap Bluetooth headphones. Search for MPOW Magneto on Amazon, about £15 and very good.

All my running data is collected via a Garmin ForeRunner 235 running watch: GPS data, speed, pace, HeartRate, stride length and cadence, distance, time. Lovely!

I did it on an MP3 player. It's ace! Plays really well. I had no idea how to get stuff onto it but soon got the hang of it after a few mess ups. The programme is free. I downloaded it all at once rather than week by week but you can do either. I downloaded it onto my desktop computer and then dragged and dropped the program files onto the MP3 player using the cable that came with it. It came with earphones too. I am rubbish at tech but I did it. I think I downloaded it to " my music " on the computer 😀

To use the app you need a smartphone. To use the podcasts you need a device that can play mp3 files.

Remember, your phone is a way of summoning help, should you need it. I often run offroad, so having my phone with me is the way of avoiding lying in the corner of a field for three days should I break my legs!

Never thought of the safety aspect.. I do run in local Woods although feel safe and it's popular but suppose you can't take things for granted. Thanks 🤔

I also use the app on my phone and have it in one of those armband thingys , used to just run with phone in my pocket but was forever pulling up me trousers lol.
