I graduated 2 months ago, and in the last 2 months I have spent time working on speed and distance. One I have achieved and one still needs work, but I have my excuses ready!
This weekend I hit my first 10k, in 1 hour and 10 mins, and I was pretty pleased with that time, as I was with my dog and he kept stopping to cool down in streams and it was quite hilly, so I slowed down a few times, so all in all I am pretty happy with that time, but am more than happy with the distance!
I had thought to myself that 10k would be well off in the distance, so I booked into the Winter London run in next February, but then thought well that's 10 months away, so lets find one sooner, so booked into the Kew Gardens 10k in September, but as it happens, I have hit it already. Where do I go now??
So I will keep at this distance and look to get my time down, but from a non runner from a year ago, I am very happy
