Out of interest what do you listen too whilst running ? I listen to Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters, She Sells Sanctuary by The Cure in fact anything that's load and drowns out the noise of me breathing πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I find it a lot easier to run to something with a good beat

Yep I like running to rock music also been listening to The Infinite Monkey Cage Podcasts recently as a bit of a break from music when I've played my selections to death!

Bonobo, latest album Migration - I like the rhythm and it is also quite chilled at the same time. I'm only on week one though so that may change!

I used to just have a playlist of my favourite music..... until I found myself jogging along quite nicely in time to 'Don't Stop Me Now' by Queen. Since then (last week) I've searched the internet for lists of songs with roughly the same beats per minute (156). I've now got a playlist that I can run to with an added advantage of listening to some great stuff I wouldn't ordinarily have listened to.

Oh that makes me feel old. I went to see The Who's "Farewell" tour in Birmingham in 1979. Farewell!!! The Tee shirt I bought wore out years ago πŸ˜‚

Not so farewell was it? They have just finished touring, it was brilliant! It was Birmingham for us, didnt see them in our youth unfortunately . Rodger Daltry can still belt it out - he is 73! Pete Townsend still a master of the guitar!

Lately I have been listening to Spotify's daily mix picked just for me.... I like a bit of something to dance to. On long runs something a little slower beat helps slow the HR down.....

I now start all my runs with "Maneater" by Hall and Oates. At 88 BPM it helps me begin with a nice sensible pace :)

What ever's on my phone lol its a random mix ranging from Take That to The Specials, Madness and Bad Manners

Now that's what I call running 2017, lots of various genres with an upbeat tempo, or Dr Karl (Australian Scientist) podcast, depends on my mood!

As a classical music lover, my choice is a little "off-beat" though it does have a good beat. Steve Reich is my preferred choice - classical/jazz crossover. His best stuff has a constant pounding rhythm, over which there are gradual changes to keep it interesting. I also find the mood very upbeat and uplifting. Probably the best of all is the mundanely titled "Music for 18 Musicians". You can find several recordings of it on Spotify. Kind of like Classical headbanging! If going for rock music, I reckon Metallica or Bon Jovi would go pretty well.
