Thank you for all your support and encouragement...You've helped me keep things in perspective...You've advised me either directly or indirectly...You've listened and kindly responded when I've droned on on about nothing or just chuddering and moaned in general.. and you got me through the programme...
That was my graduation run done and dusted tonight.. still in the dark. but hey I did it... π
One day I might even enjoy it...

A huge congratulations. That is some achievement! If you carry on running / consolidate then you will start to see the benefits - and they are definitely enjoyableπππ»π
I'm definitely going to try. Been having funny feet issues in Week 9. Painful during run 1... Bit bad. Run 2 and sore toe run 3... Maybe will not tie my laces as tight π
It's been such a joy following your journey... Now you're at the start line proper. You can run as you feel and where and when you decide. Keep it up won't you. One day you WILL enjoy itβΊ
That's a great party spread. Thank you for coming and livening it up...So kind...
I can't believe I've done it really... Might try local parkrun again this week...But I might just volunteer again as they are a bit short and we are in Glasgow on the week after so aim to run there so i might save myself
Whoop whoop! Many congratulations to you πΎπππ You should feel very proud, you've worked hard and achieved something grand at the end of it all. Now your running fantasies can begin and you can go anywhere and explore π€
Don't forget to ask for your badge - the link is on the right.
FANTASTIC!!!!! One day I'll get there as well: I've stopped predicting when! You've been one of my supporters all the way through so far ( like you, lots and lots of moans and grumbles, served with a generous helping of procrastination). I hope you'll still be around. If you discover the key to enjoying this running stuff then please share the secret. Good luck you Graduate you .....
Haha... I will still be here to moan and catch up and learn from everyone... Keep on at it. If I can do it.... ! And maybe one day i will find pleasure in it...But I won't hold my breath... Thanks for your kind words x
Good, glad you'll still be around. Forced myself outside again today, essentially doing "1 and a bit" week 1 sessions in succession for the Parkrun 5K course again. Would have been sub 50 mins for the first time, very slow but getting better. An outside W2 next. Don't hold your breath, you need the oxygen .....
Good... Keep going... I've called off my parkrun this weekend as body protesters. Will volunteer again as that also is good for getting me out of my comfort zone
Thank you...I feel as though i have achieved something.. Venturing out for run 1 in week 1 on Jan 2nd was massive...And completing it too......Amazed I was...
I decided from the outset that no way was I going to push myself into a 9 week completion aim...But to manage to do it in 16 weeks feels great.
Got there in the end MotherPip ! We all had the faith and knew you would
Your post with the single balloon at the end made me chuckle ! Sounds like a half-hearted 'Yay go me'! Come on now, whoop it up, it's a massive achievement...xx
Whoo hooo you did it! Well done and how fabulous will that graduate badge look as you run - it will be sparkling & twinkling in the sun. Now you can do whatever you please, short runs, long runs, hills (ooer lol) there are loads of options. Yes, I can say that you will definitely start to enjoy it. Enjoy the fizz & cake at your graduation
Well semi injury couched now... What doesn't ache...Hurt foot swimming π,knees bugging me as are back and shoulder... Think I'll volunteer at parkrun again... Will give running a miss.
