Feeling the heat

After more than a week since doing a 5-mile charity run, and not having run since then because of work pressures, I finally got out to blow the computer screen cobwebs away. It was not my best run, just perfunctorily getting through it. For the first time, I realized what the cool-down walk was about. After running for half an hour, legs don’t want to walk. They want to keep running even though there’s no energy left. It’s a bit like getting land legs back. Really felt the effect of the warmer weather, too. Had forgotten to wear my sweatband, and perspiration dripping into my eyes wasn’t pleasant. Only two more runs to graduation, though!
