Third in family to do the C2 5k

Hi I started the C2 5k last October and although it took me 10 weeks I completed it. I was apprehensive as I had a brain tumour removed last March. After speaking to the consultant she was very supportive and said that I was able to do it. I had witnessed both my husband and daughter completing the C2 5k. Our daughter has ME and if she could I thought why can't I. In February K went along to our local park run and thoroughly enjoyed the experience as I was able to go at my own pace whilst running/ jogging /walking but completing the 5k. Since then I have completed 3 more parkruns and volunteered once as a marshall. Everyone is so encouraging and supportive. The C2 5k helped me along the way and I've even lost weight and I have more energy as a result.

Thank you. Yes each day is better than the day before which is good. Definitely will keep on running but being a volunteer at the local parkrun is also brilliant I can support and encourage others as well. I would encourage others to not only run but volunteer at a local parkrun its nice getting positive comments back from the runners as well as saying it to them.

Thank you. Even our son and his girlfriend who visited us at the weekend completed the local parkrun with us on Saturday. They are going to do the C2 5K as they realised how much his dad, mum, sister and her boyfriend enjoyed doing the C2 5k.
