Week 4 down and onto week 5 😩My knees were so tight last night after my (4) rest days that I felt I looked like my great aunt Gladys chasing a Jammie Dodger down the street. I mean I did it but I probably could have walked faster at times! Think I'll up those strength exercises, I love running and will be so devastated if an injury takes me down now!!

I keep a supply of Epsom salts by the bath and have a soak post run.
Do some stretches post run too
Your legs will feel it if you are unaccustomed to exercise but keep going steady and you will avoid injury
I walk everywhere and that's a great cross trainer. Exercises using your own body weight are good. You don't need a gym
Lots of walking too, is good.. for me anyway...keep it slow and steady

Your Great Aunt Gladys sounds like fun!
Stretches after running, a nice hot soak and I did find that the knee strengthening exercises really helped. I do them every morning as I'm getting up and in the evening before I lay me down to sleep. I think I'm supposed to do them 3 x a day but just doing the 2 I've seen a massive decrease in knee discomfort.

That woman would chase jammie dodgers anywhere, when visiting Aunt Gladys you take some jammie d's! She's got it all wrong though, should have taken a fancy to a bourbon, they aren't rolling anywhere...
