Rewarding myself for running!!

Today I managed a long run and one of the things that kept me going was I had an empty tum and I had the ingredients for a cooked breakfast at home. I even ran through it in my mind as I plodded along - bacon, sausage, mushrooms, thinner tomatoes and egg. Was ready for a treat because I ran for over an hour. Maybe that is naughty to motivate myself with foodie treats? By the way, I learned the hard way that I need to count calories even when running because my level of treats, even when running will mean weight gain! How do you motivate yourself to run and what treats do you have for getting out there?

Watch those treats! They creep up on you!

I make my own running bars and only eat one if I run further than 10k.

I do like a proper coffee when I get home, which I sip in my post run Epsom salts bath 😊 I usually have a sf jelly with fruit in the fridge for when I fancy something desserty

The picture of me and my friend the cream scone is an old one. Nowadays, I eat what I track with calories, end of!

I am tracking my eats at the mo. I managed to gain weight this week despite eating no meat or bread. Can't chew cos of my face plant. I have eaten too much rice pudding and custard I suspect 🙄

Treats!! I love chocolate, cheese and bread (not together! :) ) - they are my downfall foods and the ones I could eat all day. I track calories too but don't add on calories burned running so hopefully will be losing weight. Once I (hopefully) build up to that 10k I'll start making allowances for running calories.

I have lost 2 stone 4 lbs (had to lose 1 stone twice as I put it back on)! My goal is to lose one more stone now and to run regularly with reasonable food rewards
