Bring back 'Laura' and the original Couch to 5k app!

What have you done to the old app? This new version is terrible, overly complicated and difficult to use.

The old version with Laura was simplicity itself, easy to use and did the job perfectly. Got me trained up for Tough Mudder.

Was the old app changed just for the sake of change....at a huge cost no doubt!!??

Bring back the old app....is anyone listening out there???

She's a podcast, rather than an app, I think...

Thanks Raven2016 and whilst writing Oldfloss too.

I checked my phone and happily I still had the old app entitled 'Change4Life Couch to 5k' NHS choices.

I've downloaded it again and it seems to work fine. Sadly I can't find it in the App Store anymore as I wanted to share it with my Daughter.

I guess it's no longer available on the App Store?

I may be just Mr Grumpy but the new 'One You' Couch to 5k isn't for me! I'll be deleting it!

Thanks again for your replies.

Laura is available as a podcast rather than an app. It can be downloaded on to iphones and android phones, i know this as both myself and my daughter have previously downloaded on different phones.

Some runners prefer the new app, others prefer Laura. Each to their own, live and let live and all that. It means there is more choice to fit the needs of many choices.

Mr Grumpy???? ..... i couldn't possibly comment πŸ˜€πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I suppose having 'celebrity' voices will pull in more people. I am a fan of the podcasts... level playing field, we all get the same music, and more technically robust. And Laura of course.

Some of us took the One You quiz when it came out and it even told ju-ju- she should do C25K (and me, but slightly less ludicrous)

I know they quietly changed it, I looked one day and Laura had gone. I did ask them to put the link up to the old podcasts from The NHS choices website. I think these now come up in between posts as a clickable link. I don't think we will every totally ever move away from Laura, she is like a hero to many of us.

You are right rfc, they do come up between first few posts, very easily accessible for all either as original podcasts or updated apps. Cant get much more complete than that thanks NHS! Alternatively of course individuals can purchase other options πŸ˜€

When I started I didn't know about Laura & the podcasts. I just used the App & enjoyed Sarah Millichan encouraging me. But then got to the longer runs, tried to play my own music (as it is designed to do), but it never worked properly - so from week 7 met Laura! Couldn't stand the music, so just listened to her once each week until the end.

I thought Laura was great, even with her dodgy choice in music. The music was what spurned me on to completion however. I promised myself once I graduated I could play my own music... though I do kind of miss Julie, and the trumpet fanfare.

My music works fine with that app...I love it and it goes quiet when Sarah is about to speak

I'm planning on doing this soon too! Will never completely break up with Laura. I think I was the only person who loved her music!

I tried Laura a few times but just couldn't get on with that program at all but I just love this new one. We all have different needs & likes/dislikes. I didn't make it past day 2 with Laura but Michael Johnson is just fab and keeps me going :D x
