Hi Flossie, how are you doing? Are you walking without support yet?

My last vision of you was one of you whizzing round your kitchen on a swivel chair making mince pies for us all😊

Hopefully you are a bit better now after resting your leg any good news from your medic yet?🏃😊xx

Hi Jan, you are kind to inquire. Well, unfortunately I have to be NWB on my crutches (named Howard and Hilda) for another three weeks :( I am still managing to swivel around on my barstool between the fridge, sink, hob, etc. but it is all so slow! Not such good news from the medic as DEXA scan shows I am osteopenic. Have to see a specialist later this month. In the meantime, I am eating yoghurt and fresh fruits for breakfast, dark green leafy veg, nuts, cheese, etc. etc. Not going to let it get me down though, see it as an opportunity to walk and run even more when I am able to strengthen my bones. :) How are you doing? xx :)

Oh dear Flossie..that is not the answer I was hoping for😐...

Howard and Hilda eh? Ever decreasing circles...maybe rename them Paula and Mo to inspire you. NWB is non-weight bearing right? Are you still able to row...but then it would have to be on a machine..no jiggling out of boats...and even that sounds like a mission...

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, hope you can sort it with diet, but I believe weight bearing exercise strenghens bones... (we certainly did lots of star jumps at my old Rosemary Conley classes) so its a bit catch 22 for you at the moment. You seem to be keeping chipper though and have running to look forward to so keep strong and do as advised and build yourself back up to full strength.😊

Thanks for asking, I have been poorly with a cough and bug for most of December, but this morning have only a slight throat discomfort and can breath through my nose. So I have been thinking about my first run after a long break. Thinking of doing wk 9 with Laura, nice and steady 30 mins. Santa brought me a buff. I have already thought of a name for the post... Not today, but soon..😊 (is that a gremlin)

Take care and get well soon.xxx In the meantime carry on posting support and advice.😊xxx

Oh yes, that's an excellent idea, week 9 with Laura and your new buff, sounds just the ticket! How about a hot toddy this evening?(for medicinal purposes only, of course 😉) xxx

Paula and Mo, yes, I have to say, they could be rechristened Jan, I am much faster on them now than I was three weeks ago! 😂
