2nd Park Run today and once again Mr R got up to chauffeur me to the park and cheer me on my way. Thankfully the nerves I experienced last week at my first park run, did not return, and I was looking forward to running.
The gremlins decided to play tricks with my running app, so after the first 5 minutes it was telling me my pace was 3 minutes per km. At that rate I'd be finished in record timing. But I knew there was no way I could be running that fast, and just ignored it and carried on with Laura and Mr Razouski's encouragement, and no idea of my time.
At the end of the 5k my gremlinised app informed me that I'd run 10km in 29.00 minutes. Ha ha ha... I wish.
Still, when I got my result this afternoon I'd actually achieved 5k in 27:20, which was a personal best, and I was 65 out of 155, and 6th woman in the run. I have to admit to doing another "Go Me" dance round the house.
I can't believe I only graduated a week and a half ago and have managed to get my times below 30mins. Feeling good. ππΎββοΈπ€

I'm not sure why Davoda, I assumed I'd be slow as I never ran in my life before starting this programme at the wrong side of 50. Still, I'm enjoying my first few post graduate runs. I hope I can sustain it.
I hope you're enjoying running as a graduate too. π
Go Raz! Fab news! What a great time! Bet you're feeling over the moon! Well done girlie! Would love a recording of your "go me" dance! It's a tonic just to imagine it! And we'll done to Mr R for being support crew. Important role! ππ»ππ»ππΌββοΈππ»ππΌββοΈππ»πΎπΎππ
