Don't be.

You came so far, didn't you? Why should next run be any different from the previous nine? You can and you will do it.

I think the more we think about it the worse it becomes in our heads. Go slow and relax is the key and don't worry, that's what I'll try and do tomorrow anyway (also doing w4r1)

You want to head out calm and positive. Try and trust that the programme works and has prepared you for w4. It'll be fine.

Can't lie, I found it hard, but I wasn't on this forum for advice then!

Get out there with faith in yourself and the programme- and keep it s l o w.

If you're struggling to finish the section breathe a bit deeper and slow down :)

When in doubt? Go slow!!

You'll do it, you'll see x

You can do it Vicky . Just keep it steady and just keep doing what you've been doing so far .

Good Luck , keep calm , slow and steady , just a gentle jog :-) xxx

Don't be scared, just trust your body, which has got you this far and ignore that sneaky little voice in your head saying you can't do it! Slow and steady is the key :)

Not going to lie, I found week 4 hard. But I just kept going one foot in front of the other, slowly, and finished the week without needing to repeat runs. You can do this. Good luck!

I am on week 4 and just completed R2. Prior to starting this my belief was I could not run (and hadn't done so since school - and even at school I skived if I could!). However W4 is ok - all I will say is go slow and learn your pace. On R1 the last of the two five min runs had me going up a gradual incline and I really felt it. However I just focussed on how good I would feel knowing I had done it and ignored the fact I sounded like I was going to have a heart attack! I did R2 last night and adapted my route so it was flatter and that was much better. Get some music on you love and let your mind float - try not to focus on the time. I am no expert but that seems to work for me. Good luck - it will be better than you think!

What everyone else said. Go slow - slow down if you think you're struggling - relax and try to enjoy it.

Thanks all. I think it's still the disbelief in myself that I can do it. My music is always on, really upbeat stuff that helps me concentrate. I run really slowly, sometimes I think too slowly but that's all I can manage. I'm going to have to change my route though as I have so many hills around where I live/run. I'll just be going round in a circle to stay sort of flat ish with just a few small inclines rather than doing my usual route which has a few quite steep hills :(

Thanks again for all your kind words & good luck everyone running today :)

Its always one step at a time, literally :) so just focus on the current challenge. Choose your route to suit your mood, for change or routine. Slowly is fine, there is no race. You are making progress even when it might not feel like it. You can do hills when you choose to. Well done.
