First early morning run for a while ...

but because I had woken up at 6.45 and had to be out of the house for work at 8.30 I thought 'why not?' and climbed into my running gear. Took Laura with me, as I have not been running much of late and decided to start again, right from the beginning to ease myself back in. So off I went, playing week 1 but trotting all the time rather than doing intervals after the five minute warm up walk.

( Does everyone else find their Garmin takes ages to get the location? Anyway, once it had found where we were I started to trot.)

I didn't want to go too far as I didn't have a great deal of time, but I managed a mile and a half at ever so slightly faster pace than my Parkrun average, so I was pleased with that.

I just ran round my local area, in the residential streets, not where I usually run, and I included a very long steepish hill near the end of my run. I looked up it from the bottom and decided just to go for it. It felt good! But I did have to do a few seconds of walking after I reached the top. Then round of the corner and back down another hill and home. All in 20 mins.

All in all, a short run but a good one, and a few good mornings from passersby. :)

Happy Wednesday running :)

Garmins can sometimes take a time to get location, make sure it's fully charged, and try standing still outside & not under any trees or buildings while initially trying to locate satellites...

Think it's the asking it to find a moving target that upsets it, poor sensitive thing that it is ;)

Sometimes the unplanned runs are the best. Well done!
