We were hoping to start week 5 this weekend but it is very cold and frosty with icy patches on the ground. worried about falling if we run outside but the thought of the dreadmill is not appealing. I struggle with the boredom of it. what are other people doing this weekend? x x

Hi Linda, I'm not sure where you are but it doesn't look like it will be cold enough to be icy here, although it looks like it will be really rainy on Sunday so I'm thinking of going on Sat instead. I'd much rather be out and about if possible!

We are in Fife, Scotland, very chilly up here just now x haven't run on grass before but might head out to a park and try that x

Hmmm ice can be tricky. Can you stick to the grass???

Ice is a definite no-no. I made the mistake last winter. of heading out and it was icy!

Big mistake.. ended up learning to ice skate! Snow, on fields, not too bad, but ice is deadly!

As I am on the IC, having popped a couple of ribs and cannot run outside, I am using my elliptical cross trainer, (such low impact) to 'run' and watching virtual treadmill snowy runs!

Am about to head onto it now.. it will never replace the outdoors but, on the plus side,it is only a stride across the garden, back in the house for breakfast!

Stay inside and make up silly rhymes about the weather while you run. Hope you get out sometime soon :)

I don't do ice or wet leaves. I see other people doing it though and feel a bit guilty for being a wuss but then think but they are just risking a fall and the IC. Back to the treadmill for me in weather like this.
