Have just done week one for the second time and managed all of the runs this time (first time was close, but didn't quite manage it)
Took everyone advice and went slow and I know the aim is to build up the duration rather than worrying about speed, but is 6 for the walk and 7.5 for the "runs" too slow?
Thanks

Well done for starting! It really really! Doesn't matter about the speed! stop worrying about that and get on with the programme, try and follow it near exactly, and slow & steady! HEAR ME? SLOW & STEADY! you will reap the benefits of your effort's, come back and tell me you haven't in 9 weeks!😊
Thanks for the reassurance, cant wait till Thursday to do it again! Trying to stick to the programme with days off but really wan to do it again...now! Can already see why this is addictive, def the feel good factor
Hi Di-L , sounds like you are using a treadmill as you are very aware of your speed.. just set it at what you feel is a brisk walk for the warm up.. then take it up to a light jog for the run. The aim is to go steady enough to be able to complete every run section, even though it may feel tough.
Its not such an issue when you run outside as you can just steady your pace easier, but perfectly do-able indoors too. You will get used to what is your 'correct' speed as you progress I'm sure..and you're right... it is so addictive. 😊
