When to run question...

I've been thinking about when to run, I done W1R1 on a Monday so with a rest day between runs I'll do R2 on the Wednesday and R3 on the Friday.

Should I then advance to W2R1? If yes, would I start this on the Sunday or have two rest days over the weekend and run W2R1 on the Monday keeping the same cycle?

Interested what everyone does. :)

I've just started as well, so total newbie, and did my first W1R1 also on Monday this week. W1R2 tomorrow morning (Wed) etc. Great idea to walk the W2 route this coming weekend to tweakmy route ... I've started walking to my gym, so it will work out nicely. Thanks for the suggestion.

As I'm not a professional, I can only comment on what I did - and that is run every other day, regardless of the week / run. There was a week between 7 & 8 owing to a knee niggle and 2 or 3 times family life meant I ended up with two days in between runs, not one ( very frustrating !!) but on the whole, every other day with success.

Hello! I started doing every other day as suggested but have opted for Mon, Wed and Fri jogging with the weekend 'off' as I do lots of other stuff at the weekend like gardening on my allotment, walking the dog and such like. Really depends on you and your body. But make sure you have the rest day in between. Good luck! :)
