Being on your own can be a great thing. You run when you want to, it is free and you can try new places each time. I ran the whole programme on my own, it is a great way to leave work and other things behind and relax! Just download the podcasts and follow Laura's instructions, she will give you some great tips along the way

As this forum's name says, with a Couch to 5K programme. Most of us here are doing or have done the NHS version of this (so it is all about acquiring the skill and habit of running continuously for 30 minutes on a regular basis... nothing about distance or speed) The podcasts are the most robust way to do this technically and you'll see lots of references to 'Laura' who is the coaching voice on those - she's an ordinary person who has done the programme herself. Or you can go for the app with a choice of nice UK celebrity voices and you add your own music (but this is only for people with such delicate musical sensibilities they can't endure the podcast music for as long as it takes to graduate from the programme)

Probably the majority of us here have done at least some of the programme by ourselves.

Welcome 😊

Lots of us ran C25k programme on our own. it's easier in fact as you have to listen to Laura, or whichever voice you choose to guide you through. I think the choice is Jo Wiley, Sarah Millican and the famous athlete, michael Johnson ☺

Parkrun is great and anyone can attend. Generally folks do it when they are on or about Graduation at week 9. ,Once you have signed up for Parkrun you can turn up at any of the locations here and abroad. read up on it on their website ☺ Parkrun is every Saturday morning

You don't have to go anywhere near parkrun if you don't want to. I run with a little jog group once a week. ,there are groups, all, over the place so there will be one near you. it's fine to do it alone though at a time to suit you. it takes about 30 mins per session ☺

GOOD luck☺
