I am new here. I stumbled over this community at the weekend and thanks to the helpful advice I read I have just completed week 5 run 3! Can't quite believe it. Week 6 here I come, well after a suitable rest.

Welcome to the forum RM2016 . sounds like you are doing great, fantastic work! Read plenty of posts on here, there is lots of support and guidance. Also post regularly so forum friends can give a hand if needed or to party with you when ever there is a need.......we love a party 🎉

Don't let week 6 throw you, it sometimes does. Just remember the programme has worked for many many others and will do so for you. Happy running🏃🏻🏃🏼‍♀️😃

Welcome to the nicest running forum in the universe! A lot of people come out of the shadows and wave for week five... Well done for getting W5R3 done and dusted, and keep us posted on your progress (we love partying, I agree, and there's also a goldmine of advice and support if needed).

Thanks for the welcome. I will need the advice, I know next to nothing about any sport or activity , the couch has been my default position for most of my life.

Oh you'll soon pick up the lingo! I think it's fair to say most of us were lifetime sofa surfers til we happened onto C25k. I was sitting in WeightWatchers class when someone gave me all the dope on the programme. It's life-changing it really is. Well it can be if you grasp the nettle.

Week 6 then is next up. Tricky beggar! So, go slow and you'll crack it. Going really slowly will buy you some time and mean you have more puff to finish the sessions. You won't believe how chuffed you are once you've done it. You can come back and tell us!

Have fun!!!!

Welcom to the forum, fellow runner.

There is a psychological trip hazard in Week 6. After W5R3, you begin to believe you can do anything.............you may not quite be there yet, so take the advice and take W6R1 nice and steady.
