Progress of sorts

Just run 1.63 miles at an average pace of 15.36 mins per mile and I couldn't be happier. I've also shifted my running days to include a week-end - part of my 3 year plan for world domination!

Thank-you! I think I'm getting the hang of slow but steady...

I love that you have a 3 year plan. I am lucky to plan next week but I think that is my failing. Having goals must drive you forward.

I'm sue they do!! I've never quite made it work yet tho... But I am inspired by the lady (can't remember her name) who ran her first marathon - at the age of 70 - three years after starting c25k. Having taken up running after years of back problems I've come to accept that I probably won't do a marathon any time soon but three years seems do-able. I also have some personal and financial goals I want to achieve in that time. I'm 56 on Friday and have come VERY late to this whole organising MY life thing. (I'm brilliant at organising my husbands [he's the only breadwinner at the mo] but at the cost of things I want to achieve so I'm now focusing on me and will have to live with the resulting chaos (I'm not good at chaos - he thrives on it).

So. We shall see!

That sounds an excellent plan, I am only 2 years behind you but don't have a great running aim. At the mo I just want to stay a bit fitter to keep up with the kids.

I don't have any kids - had to find some other motivation!

Oh my - I'm loving the sound of that plan! I may have to form one for myself ... My boy has one more year at home before he departs for uni. Part of me wants to get moving and sell the house, move on etc, then the other part of me aches to think he will soon be leaving home ... blub!

My husb and I have a loose 2 year plan to get the boy settled in at uni then sell the house and downsize so he can work less (well, he couldn't work any more - it's shocking). First part of plan completed this weekend: caravan sold. New VW camper on order. New chapter in our book, hopefully to include disappearing off into the wild blue yonder at the drop of a hat (whilst leaving helpful boy at home cat sitting!).

I do running in kms (Gloriagarmintastic), so have no idea about your stats. They look good though, and if you're happy, I'm happy!!!

My three year plan is very loose... the husband working less is a five year plan for us.

I'd bet that you've done a good enough parenting job to launch him on the world. I' only recently coming around to the idea of camping vans - they do seem incredibly freeing.

I tend to toggle between miles and kms as I don't really have a sense of kms, but no, not brilliant (very slow, truth be told) but my new focus is time and consistency.!

Happy running...
