Hello Everyone,

After much deliberation, excuses, waiting for the right moment/weather/inspiration I've decided to join the Cto5K plan.

I'm not naturally fit,I don't like exercise, I can think of numerous excuses not to exercise But being the wrong side of middle age, I have come to realise that time and health are no longer on my side and I really do need to be making an effort.

Just completed run 3 of week one!...Yeahhh. Feel like a wrek, look like a tattybag tied in the middle-not a sexy look, when i'm out in my joggers and T shirt, hoping that no-one I know sees me in this state. But you know I may even have enjoyed run 3 a little bit.

Whats that saying 'feel the fear(swap fear for embarressment) and do it anyway'

Well I'm doing it.

Will be following the community during the week and hope to speak with you.

Ann, well done! A lot who start c25k feel like you do, through not liking excercise, and the mind gremlins will try to find excuses not to excercise, but it doe's fade as you get more used to it and get fitter, always remember while doing c25k go slow & steady. You probably think, we'll, I can't go any slower! but when you get the thoughts saying I can't do this, just back off the pace and say YES I CAN! and you will benefit from the results of your effort's, push on & upwards!😊

Yay! Well done. We all like to find excuses not to get the trainers on, right? But taking them off after 30 mins feels SO satisfying. Keep going :)

You're on the right track. Hate exercise myself and never managed to pass one month of commitment be it exercise or diet plan. Yet here I am at week 8. This one is a keeper. 😀

Well done for getting off the starting blocks ☺

Enjoy yourself Annty. None of us were fit when we started, I think it's fair to generalise 😊

Well done for getting started, glad you have joined us. This forum is a fab place for advice, support and a bit of light relief :-) Be careful though, you may well get addicted to running and really enjoy it :-D Happy running.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to reply to my first post, great feeling to have your support. In time hopefully I'll be able to do the same.

Till next week,

Keep calm and Run. X
