From an oldie

From an oldie

Had to laugh my husband George daughter Sue and myself did the colour run . During the colour explosion pre race . We had separated . So all set off separately it was like Sardines with runners joggers going first walkers at the back it was like one solid mass hitting the canal path where we had to more or less go single file past brambles and the dreaded stinging nettles , when I got through I was able to jog past some people walking and I over heard a young girl saying must be bl@@dy unfit all these old people keep running past me. Yep that's me! I was only jogging no room for anything else. But I felt great . Passing through the paint stations I started off with pink hair , then onto red either orange coming later then a vivid shade of green . Totally plastered in powder paint. First lap over now to do it all again only it felt better and this oldie on her second lap actually passed people on their first lap . That doesn't happen at park run I get over taken more or less at the same point however it was a brilliant afternoon we raised over two hundred pounds for the Phyllis Tuckwell hospice and my multi coloured trainers remind me what a great afternoon we had . A photo of us all looking colourful.
