I woke up this morning with a few butterflies in my tummy - today was going to be a BIG day!!
My run began with my 2 very favourite people ( my other half Richard and my loyal pooch Penelope ππ) who joined me on my 5 min walk.
Headphones in, activity timer set for 30 mins, big grin and with a jaunty wave to Richatd and Penny, I pressed play and Take That ( my other favourite people) began to sing ' Greatest Day' in my ears π. It wasn't until that song finished that I realised I hadn't pressed start on my watch timer - so I'd run 4 mins and 11 secs before I even started timing π!
Anyway, Robbie and Jason couldn't stay the distance and left the party, but me, Gary, Mark and Howard kept each other goingπ But so did each and everyone of you incredible people on this forum. You were with me with every step π I was reading some of the posts on here to Richard on Friday ( he's quite a prolific forum reader/ poster) and he was amazed by the positivity. Everyone have a well deserved virtual hug from me π
I've had quite a tricky week this week, some worrying news about my mums health, but I was determined to complete this for myself and every single person that has shown such positivity and support throughout my journey.
Thank you to each and everyone of you for your never ending encouragement πWhen I finished, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, so I did both! ππ’

Thank you Dusky-Chicken π. It's starting with a bath, then I am going to choose a charm for my bracelet to mark the achievement. On top of that, smiling a lot and feeling good π
Congratulations, Jingle-Berry! Your persistence to do this has paid off! You must be beaming with pride. Hope I'll be there soon, too! xx
Thanks JaySeeSkinnyπ. Immediate plans include basking in the feeling βΊοΈ. After that, continue with 3 runs per week and get to that dream of 5k in 30mins! What this has taught me, is it might not happen on the next tomorrow but one tomorrow in the future, it will be mine xxxx
ππππππthat's fantastic. I can feel your glow from here. I love seeing everyone's shiny new badges. This is not the end but the beginning - Happy Running ππ
Thank you Bluerockdragon π. My plan now is to continue to be steady but a bit less slow π
Oh so very pleased for you it's such an achievement, well done. You are an inspiration and deserve to smile all day π glad to hear you are treating yourself to a charm for your bracelet, that is certainly well deserved. Enjoy this feeling of accomplishment, I can't wait till I can feel like that π only at w5 r1
Thank you Hidden . I wish I could bottle the feeling and take a sip everyday! You should feel a fab sense of achievement though, you are doing it ππ
Oh lovely Jingle_berry just look at that wonderful badge you are sporting. Congratulations - I am so happy for you - been waiting for this post - Yay!! ππΎπ π Go enjoy the rest of the day and treat yourself - whoo hoo π
Thank you melly4012 ! A very long time ago I was a prefect, I wanted that badge more than anything ( because it meant I could stay in at playtimesπ) but this one even beats that π
How crackers is that? I bet 6 months ago if someone told you you'd be desperate to run, you wouldn't have believed them RunningGeek, I know I wouldn't have xxx
Well done Jingle_berry , great news. Sorry to hear your mum's not well but the running will help YOU. I'm a bit late to the party but hope you enjoyed the fizz that I've no doubt someone provided! McFitty , I suspect!)
Thank you pollyp1 π. How well you know the pesky McFitty π. I was so determined not to let anything stop me. If I can do nothing else, I'll be running a 5k for cancer research/ McMillan nurses as soon as I am ableπ. In the meantime, I'll be eating cake on the 30th September π°
