I didn't (and don't - most unusual for me in this context) have any gremlins about how I looked running while doing c25k. But I'm about to go swimming for the first time in years and, boy, are they out in force. Is there a couch to 500 lengths podcast??
Gremlins: I didn't (and don't - most unusual for... - Couch to 5K
Gremlins
No unfortunately not you will just have to drag out your Victorian bathing suit and get in there and do some lengths
Which, my sweet, is exactly what I did!
Well done you i bet you looked very fetching in your cosy & hat
You could go 'wild' swimming in the open air. Just wear you teeniest running kit and 'accidentally' fall in and start swimming🐡😊
Haha funnily enough I was looking at something the other day on the swimming.org website called swimfit or myswimfit. You need to register to see the programme so can't comment on it. When I was looking though I realised they don't do 5k but a mile! Swimmers, what are they like, only doing a mile! There were a few others that popped up when I googled learn to swim a mile or something like that.
****** lightweights! I crawled through 8 lengths and so didn't fall in love with it the way I feel in love with running, but I shall go back next week and aim for 10. All the strategies I learnt from c25k about motivation did the trick.
1. Where can I buy a Victorian swimsuit -it's the only way you'll get me in the water? 😎
2. I need a chlorine free pool - and not sure about wild either - I've seen Love Actually with the eels. Ughh 😱
I don't like chlorine. not seen the film, perhaps I shouldn't!!
It's a real chick flick and I love it!! Hubby pretends to hate it but I'm not fooled 😂😂
Mine loves Muriels Wedding...
I like that one too - I love the bit where the guy accidentally unzips the bean bag. 😂😂😂
I like swimming. I do NOT like all the time spent getting to the Pool, changing into gear, drying off after swim, changing back into gear, driving home again. I admire anyone who can put up with the tedium outside the Pool.
Am I a bad man?
