W7R2 done but ...

Got round tonight - phew - but over past couple of days it's been painful to walk. There's a sharp pain in my right foot, big toe base. Running is easier than walking! Tendonitis? I'll be gutted if I can't complete the program as I feel so near .... Any advice anyone? Few days off? Or, if it's not hurting while I run just keep going?

Loosen your laces, get thicker socks. Does the pain go away after a bit? you might have to seek professional advice if a few things don't work for you.

I'd take a few days off and rest - sharp pain, as opposed to a bit of an ache, is generally not a good thing. Give yourself a break and then see where you are; and don't worry about having a bit of time off the programme - if needs be you can go back a week or two.

Best of luck.

I suffer with big toe pain, have done for years now. I think mine is bunion pain or arthritis. I thought it would hinder my running, but weirdly enough like you it doesn't hurt when I run. Mine is a walking pain. Where are you at on the programme? Maybe try some ibuprofen see if that calms it down. If not off to the Dr's for you. Hope it gets better soon.

Thanks. Ibuprofen has helped but pain is still there though I did do the W7R3 last night. Running is OK but perhaps I am aggravating it ....

Me too Vanessa! I only take an omega 3 fish oil capsule daily which keeps the pain at bay. If,I forget to take it the pain returns immediately. I think the big toe joint is the first thing to feel the effect of ageing 😕

I run ok though ☺

I find the tesco and seven seas ones work best.

You could try those Simon.

I assume you have proper running shoes

Misswobble, I've used max strength 1000mg Omega3 capsules from Woods Supplements for a long time now, and seem to keep me relatively pain free as well. They are £9.99 for 360 at the moment, but come in a blooming big flat pack though! Which drops through the letterbox nicely..😊
