Just in from the first week 5 run and I found this one really hard. I ran a new route today so maybe that had something to do with my struggling to finish it today. Got through the first run and half the second one then my legs just got really heavy and I had to slow to a walk.
Had to walk for a bit longer after that though did do another brief run where ironically I did actually start to feel a bit lighter on my feet though I reckon I'll have to this one again as II doubt I could do the 20 minute one at the end of the week based on today.

Maybe you were running too fast. There is no hurry so try again and I bet the next time you'll be fine.
Well done for getting this far. We all sometimes have to repeat a run. Just put it down as a practice. also running in unfamiliar territory can affect you. I'm lucky I do 6 now 7 laps of local lake and up to 35 minutes running now. I will repeat that for a couple of weeks before running a bit further. But sure you'll get there.
I felt like that first run of week 5 but then found I managed the others easier...its strange sometimes but as I'm learning it's just like that some days nut usually I find the next run so much better. I am good at making sure I take the rest days though and finding early morning best for me. Just give yourself another days rest then try again and don't go too fast. I've had the p do off days but now just about to start week 8 so don't let it get in the way of all the progress you've made so far and you'll be fine.
I had a terrible W5R1 too....and all the more do because W4R3 was brilliant! I can only suggest slowing down....it's what I've been told a thousand times and what I've found really helps. All the best!
Bin there. Done that. It's a bugger isn't it. Thing is it's often only by about the third run that you start to get into your stride. Try running smaller steps and slow it down some. You were still out there running... good on you
Just take it a tad slower next time out - we all get runs like this, even after graduation! It's a good idea to repeat it, just to prove to yourself you can do it, and as for that 20 min run when you get there....of course you can do it! Trust in the programme - it works!🙂 Good luck!
