W8 R2 - an early start and a record run time πŸƒ

So, after two semi sleepless nights in all this heat and after my last run in stupid temperatures, I went against the grain and went out at 7.15am this morning.....

It was beautiful out there but already 20 degrees so not exactly cool.

I am ashamed to say I went out without Laura today 😁 and ran with my own music which I loved and I set my mapmyrun for 6 x 5 minute intervals and thought once I got to 25 minutes of running I could clock watch for the last 3 minutes.

The gremlins appeared about 10 minutes in and I had one of those "just stop" moments so I slowed right down and dug in.....I was determined that they really were not going to stop me today - I am only 4 runs away from graduation for goodness sake 😝

Laura was still with me and her words kept coming back to me so she's never far away!

I completed the whole 30 minutes as I felt comfortable in the last 5 minutes so there wasn't any point in stopping πŸ˜… Yay!

I still find these runs really hard to do and have to push hard as I puff and blow my way around but I am a happy snail today, run, showered and now ready for my day πŸ˜„πŸ’

Great stuff, that Laura gets right inside your head, with or without the podcast - good isn't it!

Brilliant!

Well done ! Think you've got to the point where there's no going back !

I feel the same . I get what you call "Gremlins" sometimes in first 5 to 10 minutes. I my case my 1st and 2nd lap of my 6 laps round park. But then the good gremlin kicks in and says " Youv'e got this far and you've done it before . Get on with it you wuss" . Still get great feeling of achievement. I too on my last run felt good in last few minutes and did extra lap of lake. Nearly doing 6K ! Onwards and upwards.

It gives all sorts of weird tags.. I think it's because you said the words "puff and blow" Irish-John got cocaine AND Condom once πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
