OMG, my worst run ever ...I thought I was going to collapse it was so hot and draining. How I finished that run I will never know. Got up and out for 8.30 as planned, car temp said 26c which I did not believe and it dropped to 25 by time I reached the park, now I believed....I did fast walk for about 30secs at the 18min mark but then carried on..first time I have ever stopped mid run. My running partner totally misbehaved today, she kept disappearing into woods where there was an injured bird and I worried that she would catch it so had to run round in circles to distract the dog and shoo the bird which never worked, so I had to run calling the dog and it all must have had an affect on me, then she got lost in the woods and I could hear her barking and stressing and so I was stressing and it was just a horrible morning....but I did complete the 28 minutes even running a bit more to make up for the 30 sec fast walking.....I am drained :( How will I do park run Saturday !!!

Best to leave the dog at home while doing c25k, and on hot days take some water, although you shouldn't normally need it while doing the programme if well hydrated, or run early morning or in the evening. There maybe some rain for Parkrun on Saturday which will be nice & cooling, well done with the run!😊

Well done on completing it, that is the main thing. As the podcasts say every run is different, sometimes I feel on top of the world and sometimes I feel like going back home to bed. Just remember the feeling you have had at the end of each week on how far you have come. Good luck on the next run, you can do this :-)

Well done for getting out there and running, we all have good runs and not so good runs but all of them are better for us than not going out at all. You will be fine for parkrun, just take it nice and easy and don't get caught up in what everyone else is doing or you may set off too fast, but most of all relax and enjoy it.

Well done you! You did it despite the odds being stacked against you 🤗. Just do your best with parkrun, I think you will surprise yourself 👟

Oh that sounded like a toughie.......it is so hot and when those dogs get something into their heads they don't let go....great news is that you went and did it even when you were feeling stressed and hot....soooooo....Well Done you!!

Getting cooler over the last few days so hopefully Saturdays run will be better - Good luck! :-)

The toughest runs are the ones that build our determination. If you were chasing an errant hound, you probably ran further! Well done on finishing 👏

Wow. You did brilliantly. To run in such heat really takes it out of you - which made it harder. I went out when it was a warm one but 7am and it was still 18 or so degrees. For the first time ever I even got my legs out and wore proper running shorts! I didn't care - I couldn't wear my running tights - I would have been way too warm.

Well done again - hopefully the next run will be easier and a bit cooler :-)
