You may see a badly out of focus photograph but to me this artistic early morning canal scene is reminiscent of Monet's Grand Canal (aye right).

The air was fresh this morning when I started out on my run. It was cool against my bare arms and legs. It didn't take long for me to get warmed up and I soon felt like a reversed baked alaska.

The run went well and I was pleased with the length of time and distance that I ran. For the moment I still content to consolidate around 30 minutes running three times a week.

Good pic, yes consolidate. Some are impatient and want to speed off as soon as they've graduated, and then become so disheartened when they can't do it, pays dividends to consolidate, then in your own time you can progress to 5km...

Consolidate? - only thing I can do at the moment. Tried 1,2,3, for pity's sake, and it near on killed me! :-D

Gorgeous pic there too, looks like a fab place to run. Really happy to hear your still enjoying it. Have fun and enjoy your early mornings waterside. :)

Looks very lovely. I love the idea running like a reversed baked Alaska - very apt description ! Actually come to think of it I like the idea of baked Alaska. 🙃

Such imagery, and I mean the baked Alaska!! Still chuckling!

The photo' is hauntingly beautiful, with a hints of Turner, and Whistler (but not his mother) ! 😉

Sounds like today was a good day! - hurrah for you!

Didn't Mrs W once hang there?

How interesting that you Guide there, do you run there too?

No I don't run there. Whistler wrote to his mother and said how wonderful her portrait looked hanging on the walls of this great mansion. Rumour has it that Mrs Leyland and Whistler were more than artist and model.
