I went for my run this morning in a bad mood and came back happy. I decided to take a leaf from NIGHTINGALE1 's book and only took an analogue watch for company - no tech, no music. Whilst I've never had running gremlins that I'm aware of I do have a tendency to get a bit obsessive... I really enjoyed it - my thoughts always turn to mush when I'm running and / or get very banal (Oh look there's a magpie was probably today's most coherent) and I know I pushed myself because I came back red faced and sweaty; improving my mood was the objective and I nailed that. As it still felt chilly I wore my Asda jogging bottoms (not special wicking ones) and a hoodie. The hoodie was around my waist within 5 minutes of running, unfortunately not much I could do about the trousers (I was running bent over and flapping them at on point to cool my calves!), so next time it'll be the brightly coloured Lidls. And probably the tech, but it's nice to know there are options and that sometimes it can be just for the joy of it.

Yea for you graceful as a butterfly flitting along. That rosy glow is the next new trend, l too am cultivating 'the look' 😳😳😊!
However, you came back happy, so - job done ! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Sometimes those are just the best!
Had to laugh at you running and flapping your joggers. The best guide is always to go out dressed for about 10 degrees warmer than it is!
Thanks - yes, that was one lesson borrowed (and ignored!!). It was good fun tho. Been looking at 5k on map my run and it's doable (if I ignore the endless trail inclines) so I might just memorise the route and go out with just me and my watch more often. I like the idea of running unencumbered at least once a week.
Well done, Polly, sounds like a great run (apart from the slight overdressing issues).
