Well, after many delays I am finally on my way to 5k. After the inspiration that OldPossum and the others have given me I feel it is time to make a change.

So today I completed my Week 1 Day 1 run. It hurt a lot more than it should!

Just hope I can keep it up.

Best Regards and Clear Paths

Well done on completing your first run. Now remember to keep your pace slow and stick with the programme. We will all be routing for you.☺

Thanks. Will do. Not sure what pace to do so walking is 6kph and the run is 7.5kph. Is this OK?

Sorry only did treadmill once. Map my run tells me I am running 6 and something but as it is always losing me enroute I tend to ignore it! You are supposed to be able to speak when you run but not hold conversation as normal. Still haven't worked out how fast that is.

Welcome aboard. It gets better as you progress through the programme, and for many - you too, I hope - running becomes enjoyable and something you dont want to do without.

Welcome to the C25k family! You surely know what to expect from OldPossum but how lovely that you can follow in her footsteps!

You'll be looking back on that run when you're running for 30 minutes and beyond... Well done both of you!! :)

OldPossum is really going to have to watch what she writes on this forum, isn't she? No moans about her OH (not that she does!). On the other hand in a couple of months time you'll both be out there, running hand-in-hand into the sunset. Welcome aboard Mr. OldPossum!
