Wrinkly runner

Hi, after lurking a lot I thought I would introduce myself. I so enjoy reading everyone's posts, and it's encouraged me to continue. I am 55, and I cannot believe I am doing the C25k. A couple of months ago I'd gone to the GP with knee pain, I did some exercises and I lost a bit of weight. My son was doing C25K, and encouraged me to have a go.Today I did Wk5R1. It was hard, but I did it! I have expected to give up, or redo weeks, but I've found it builds up slowly, in a manageable way. If I can do it, anyone can. Thanks for the encouraging posts.

Hi there! Great to hear you're getting out and doing it. Looking forward to hearing your progress in the coming weeks. Welcome to the group. You will be doing park runs with your son next :-D

Hello and well done Hoochy! You can do this!

Love the shoes - shames they don't make running shoes like that!

Well done for getting so far - the perfect age to start running! And we 55 year olds aren't wrinkly, we're the new 30!

Love those shoes😀 If 55 is the new 30, 57 is the new 5 (as I've posted before I am now officially my shoe size)! Well done on reaching week 5 and welcome to the work of running bores ! It's wonderful 😎

Well done you! And love the shoes. Even if you can't run in them.

Thanks so much! Didn't mean to put on a large picture of the shoes, silly me, I am at two with technology! Definitely don't run in them :D

Week 5 run 1 was when I finally got the guts to start posting too. Maybe it's the 55 year thing (55 is the new 30 as someone has already said). Keep going. Congratulations and isn't it amazing what we are capable of!! :)
